Indoor Concrete Counter Tops and More at Carter and Cavero
Our latest project began when a local business named Carter and
Cavero contacted Split-Rok about their new store in Red Bank, NJ. A
specialty store that imports and sells flavor infused olive oils,
truffle oils and aged Balsamic vinegars, Carter and Cavero is
importing quality products and old world flavor to the Red Bank
area.
The owners found our concrete countertops page on
the web, and called Split-Rok to find out what we could do for their
store. They wanted to add some "some old world style" to
the new fixtures of their store, but they weren't sure of how to
accomplish that while using concrete. After some discussion, we
created some samples based on the colors and style suggested by
the owners. Once we agreed on a style, we started the project.
We started by creating the entry above. We replaced the old and
uninspiring tile with a custom stamped entry pad adorned with the
company's logo. counter tops on the outer wall displays and tasting
areas. A highly polished light grey counter top to match the wall
color of the store.
Custom fit to the cabinets and the surrounding
walls, with a slightly worn and weathered look to provide some of
the old world flair the owners were looking for.
Our next step was to fabricate the counter top for this hutch. As
you can see here, the center of the hutch is deeper than the side
sections.
The deeper section and setback sides add depth
and interest to the piece and also creates more display space.
Custom fit to match the cabinets, an irregular shape like this one
is no problem for Split-Rok.

Finally,
we added a Tuscan feel to the main register counter in colors that
that match the wood cabinets throughout the store.
An aged stucco look adds warmth to the counter
island and differentiates it from the rest if the store, so that
customers immediately know where to go to purchase their items.
